BRIEF: Renderyard is an annual festival held in London, which celebrates independent film making. We were asked to created a cinema trailer for their 6th year.
DIRECTION: For the 6th festival event we decided to create an original piece of live film instead of a stop motion technique used for Renderyard 5. For this we teamed up with photographer Ivan Jones who became the cinematographer for the project. We set out to create a sequence of short films each depicting various stages of the independent film making process. To keep with the theme of last years design we projected numbers onto film equipment, counting up to the number 6.
Once the film was edited we worked closely with ScoreAudio who composed an original piece of music that synced perfectly with the visuals.
The film was showcased at the Horse Hospital cinema introducing the festival.
